My name is Zach Bern, I am a real estate agent, the author of this blog, and a part-time Starbucks barista. I can list your house one day and make your coffee the next. Sometimes I feel like I’m living a double life, kind of like Peter Parker. Except that the only ones I'm fighting for, are my clients 😉

I was born in West Virginia and raised in Virginia. Growing up in between those two states I truly have experienced the beauty of the area. The scenery is astonishing. On top of that; amazing musicians, delicious local restaurants, and many small businesses flourish in this area.

Before I started on my path in real estate, I went to West Virginia University. Once COVID-19 began to spread, I decided it was best to take a gap year. The sudden transition from in-person to online was difficult and the education I was receiving wasn't worth the out-of-state price tag. My time was better spent working and saving money. That eventually led me to where I am now. I am so happy with the current path I'm taking.

I enjoy sharing tips and tricks that I have picked up as an agent with Coldwell Banker Premier. Every day I am learning and bettering myself as an agent. I like being able to use The Bern Block to document my progress and candidly share what starting off in real estate is like.

During my free time, I enjoy writing for the blog. Yes, it's partially for real estate purposes, but I love coming up with ideas, researching, and writing for it. I genuinely love doing it. Being able to piece together the elements of each story is so much fun.

I love hiking and camping with friends. Right now I’m teaching myself how to play the guitar. I've always wanted to learn so I'm kinda just forcing myself to figure it out. My all-time favorite activity is hanging out with my kitten, Charlie. She's the reason I work two jobs, gotta treat her right. She's the first pet I've ever owned by myself, so she's extra special to me.
